Accommodation
The unit consists of a bedroom, with twin beds which can be separate or made up as a king-size; an en-suite shower room; sitting room with kitchenette; small balcony and wooden sun-deck.
The bedroom opens onto a very private sun-deck, with two loungers and amazing views of the sea and mountains. The sitting area’s balcony is furnished with a table and chairs for meals and also has sea and mountain views.
There is a flat-screen television with full DStv (all channels). Wi Fi is also available.
The kitchenette is fully equipped with a microwave, under-counter fridge, kettle, toaster, induction hot-plate, electric frying pan, cleaning materials, crockery, cutlery, iron and ironing board.
All linen, towels and beach towels are supplied. Servicing, including fresh linen and towels, is done once a week.
Parking is in a secure garage with direct access. Everything is on one level - there are no steps.
Activities and Attractions
From On-the-Rocks one can sit and watch the whales (in season); see dolphins; observe the resident seals and enjoy the many gulls and cormorants, plus occasional oyster catchers, on the rocks and in the water below. The bay is a popular recreational area especially for surfers; kayakers and hobie-cat sailors.
Fish Hoek’s safe swimming beach is a short walk away, with no roads to cross, as one goes along the beautiful Jager Walk, also called the Catwalk, constructed along the rocks. The walk is lit at night and is a lovely place for an evening stroll to the beach or restaurants, some of which are on the beach.
Clovelly Country Club is close by and has been voted as one of the best golf clubs in South Africa. There are many good restaurants in Fish Hoek as well as in the surrounding suburbs of Kalk Bay and Simons Town.
Sunnycove Railway Station is a five minute walk away.
