Nestled between the indigenous bush of the coastal mountains and the natural beauty of the Touw River, Waterside Lodge welcomes you to our stylish, well-appointed en-suite accommodation. The pristine Wilderness Beach and the Wilderness Village, with its restaurants and tourist attractions, are within comfortable walking distance. At our front doorstep you will find the start of the Touw Rivers Boardwalk, an easy and scenic 500m stroll, providing close encounters with the many bird species abundant in the lush coastal undergrowth.

Accommodation

Limited self-catering Waterside Lodge offers its guests a choice of 3 independent en-suite units. Since the advent of Covid19, we have adapted our offerings to protect our guests, our staff and ourselves. We now provide limited self-catering facilities. Each unit is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as crockery and cutlery for two, suitable for light DIY breakfasts or to heat up take-aways from the village.

There is a dining table and chairs in each unit, also suitable as a work surface for business people. There are no cooking or washing-up facilities. We will replace used glasses, crockery and cutlery on a daily basis.

Recently spreading their wings from their nests in Melkbosstrand and Franschhoek, your hosts, Henk and Susan, are revelling in the tranquillity and beauty of Wilderness, while seeing to their valued guests from all over the world. Belinda, our guests liason oversees the bookings and is our in-house font of knowledge on all things Wilderness.
