Similar consideration and attention to detail was given to the lighting (natural and artificial), gradients and level differences (to minimise trip hazards), under counter accessibility, height of switches and controls (ease of access), as well as ventilation and climate control. Level access from the paved parking area to entrances and patios is provided. Bedrooms are spacious with en-suite modern bathrooms. Bathrooms are equipped with lever taps, adjustable hand-showers as well as overhead showers.
Dining areas and spacious kitchens lead onto enclosed courtyards.

Nieuwewerf
Nieuwewerf was specifically designed and built to accommodate families, couples or single guests in need of a luxury retreat and wanting to unwind in a very private setting – a home away from home in the true sense of the word. Nieuwewerf includes universally accessible design elements. Being wheelchair bound, the master builder of the cottages contributed to the design which include accessible levels with space under work tops, environmental controls levels, roll-in showers with required door handles and grab rails.
The perimeter walls create private and secure interior courtyards which extend the entertainment areas. Water features were introduced for the evaporative cooling effect. To the architect’s alarm, the client insisted on a tongue and cheek play on kitsch and after countless positive reviews and leaves allot to be said on the matter.
Nieuwehuyz
En Suite Bedrooms
Nieuwehuyz has two suites, namely; Koninklijke and Hertog Suites.
The Koninklijke Suite is a luxury master bedroom en-suite bathroom with air conditioning, underfloor heating, and heated towel rails.
Mosquito screens are designed into the sash windows.
Exclusive Wi-Fi, Netflix and a collection of books and DVDs are available to keep guests entertained.
Living Space
The lounge, dining room and kitchen creates an open space which leads onto an enclosed, secure and private courtyard. Relax on the leather couch in front of the wood Mørso fireplace or on the hand crafted oak chairs outside where fountains create a
tranquil ambience. Breathe the clean, fresh air of the Karoo. Eat el fresco, or just enjoy the stars.
Kitchen
Nieuwehuyz's kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, cutlery, crockery, utensils, and retro Smeg appliances. Fresh coffee beans, rusks, milk, and yoghurt from the local dairy await guests and add to making Nieuwehuyz feel like a home away from home.

Nieuwerust
En suite bedrooms
Nieuwerust is a Karoostyle Guesthouse specifically designed and built to accommodate up to six guests comfortably and in need of a luxury retreat in a secure and very private setting.
Nieuwerust is a luxury self-catering cottage with three luxury suites, namely: Orchidee, Zwaan and Jongen Suites. Nieuwerust can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. All bathrooms are modern, have luxurious fittings and fixing including such as
heated towel rails, hand showers, and grab rails. Facilities are wheelchair accessible.
• Orchidee Suite has a double bed and bathroom en-suite (shower/bath) overlooking the pool area.
• Zwaan Suite has a bedroom with double bed and bathroom en-suite (shower only).
• Jongen Suite is a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds (or king size bed) with a bathroom en-suite (shower only)
Nieuwerust has a lounge, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and enclosed private courtyard with swimming pool for the warm Prince Albert days.
Bathrooms are modern with overhead as well as hand showers. Heated towel rails keep towels fresh and warm.
Living Space
The spacious open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen lead onto an enclosed and very private courtyard with a swimming pool. Nieuwerust is full of charm, heritage and original period 1950s ‘Wool-boom’ furnishings and finishes tastefully displayed in a
modern interior. Relax in front of the fireplace or next to the swimming pool.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary gadgets. Fresh coffee beans, milk, rusks and yoghurt (from the local dairy) await guests and add to making Nieuwerust feel like a home away from home.

• This accommodtion is situated in Nieuwe Street, located two streets from Prince Albert's main road, Church Street.
• Situated within easy walking distance to the ‘main strip’ with excellent restaurants, galleries, arts-and-crafts and many other amenities.
• Park and leave your vehicle at Nieuwewerf and attend a show at the Showroom Theatre (Saturday evenings) or a movie (Wednesday evenings).
• Have a light breakfast | brunch at one spot, proceed to the next for coffee and cake and then enjoy a refreshing drink or two on the patio | stoep of the Swartberg Hotel.
