As part of the large scale refurbishment of the grand and historic Lanzerac Wine Estate, the Lanzerac Stellenbosch Spa has been completely rebuilt and reimagined. The newly redesigned building, which overlooks the towering Jonekershoek Mountains and is nestled against rows of lush vineyards, offers superior amenities and unrivalled views, while establishing itself as a leader in health and wellness on the Stellenbosch Wine Route.

The treatment rooms and facilities have been transformed to offer a Winelands retreat experience with a distinctly luxurious feel. Large scale windows allow natural light to spill in, while bringing the spectacular views to the forefront of the spacious, welcoming and airy building. The interiors bring a natural, yet contemporary feel to the space, with layered textures and colours prevailing. Beautiful variations of Travertine stone are used throughout the facilities, while the walls offer a visual treat with alternating claddings such as timber, fabric and wallpaper coming together to create an eclectic mix of elements.

The new Lanzerac Spa boasts six therapy rooms (which includes a couple’s room and disabled room), four mini manicure and pedicure treatment stations, two relaxation areas, two Rasul chambers complete with sensation showers, an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, and mist rooms to help guests cool down.

A highlight of the Lanzerac Spa is the newly acquired NeoQi® cocoon, a complete system for detoxing, energising and relaxing the body, which is used in conjunction with the Spa’s TheraVine™ Thalaso Therapy. The cocoon is equipped with the best thermo therapy and hydrotherapy functions in order to restore power and energy, decrease stress levels and strengthen the immune system.

Only top skincare brands are used in the Spa. Elemis, the Spa’s international partner, is a British skincare range that delivers pioneering, clinically trialled therapies and products for face and body. Elemis is defined by its treatment led philosophy, and uses a combination of rigorous clinical trials and feedback from therapists to perfect its formulas.

Lanzerac’s local product partner is TheraVine™. A natural fit for the vineyard Spa, the brand harnesses the super antioxidants derived from grape cultivars and fuses these with essential oils and cutting edge active ingredients, resulting in specially crafted, all-natural products that seamlessly bring together the best of science and nature.
